People is the contact layer for Yuzu. It keeps buyer identities, emails, LinkedIn profile URLs, deal membership, and engagement history in one place.

Adding a person

When you add a person, Yuzu dedupes by email address. If the contact already exists, the add flow merges into the existing person instead of creating a duplicate row. People can exist with or without a deal. A standalone person becomes useful later when you attach them to a deal, backfill Gmail history, or match LinkedIn engagement. When a meeting transcript includes a buyer email, Yuzu can create the primary person on the related deal automatically. If the person was added from Gmail first, Yuzu can still infer related deals from sent or received email rows so the contact does not look disconnected.

Gmail backfill

If Gmail is connected with readonly access, opening a person’s Emails tab can search your mailbox for relevant history with that contact. The backfill is user-scoped: it reads and persists the signed-in seller’s mailbox history, not every mailbox in the workspace. The Emails tab can show:
  • Historical threads from Gmail backfill
  • Sent emails created through Yuzu
  • Inbound replies received through Gmail sync
  • Threaded conversation views with sent and received messages in order
The person email view is intentionally broader than a deal email view. People shows your history with that contact. Deal pages show deal-scoped email rows.

LinkedIn profile URL

Add a LinkedIn profile URL when you know the buyer’s profile. Yuzu uses that URL to correlate LinkedIn post reactions and comments back to the person and any deals they appear on. This lets Yuzu tell the difference between generic social engagement and activity from a buyer, champion, or stakeholder.

Activity

The Activity tab is the chronological feed for the person. It can include email sends and replies, LinkedIn engagement, and deal-related events when those sources are connected.
